Tasty Tailgating Wrap

We spent last Saturday on the Plains and enjoyed a very tasty chicken wrap that I thought was perfect for tailgating.

3 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
Paula Deen's herb/spices
spring mix lettuce
sharp cheddar cheese
ranch dressing
whole wheat tortillas

Rinse and pat chicken dry. Sprinkle with spice mix and bake at 350 degrees till no longer pink. Remove from oven and thinly slice. Place in tortilla and top with ranch, cheese and lettuce. Fold and enjoy!!

BTW, the Chanel shirt sold for $103.52!!!!!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

I have been busy getting ready for my daughter's birthday party, which, as you might have guessed, is a Mickey Mouse theme. The only Mickey Mouse ears I could find were either cheaply made or too expensive. So, I decided to make my own out of headbands (pack of 4 at the Dollar Tree) and heavy black felt (Hobby Lobby). I think they turned out pretty cute!! I am making pull apart cupcakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head for dessert--will post pictures to let you see how it turned out:)

Oh, by the way, the Chanel shirt that was up for auction on eBay ended up selling for $103!! I was pleasantly surprised. I hope to come across another yard sale jewel that good...

Weekend Finds

We had a great time "picking" this past weekend despite the fact that yard sales in our area were somewhat sparse. We still ended up finding some goodies... some of which I posted. The red coat is size 5T and made by Rothschild (very expensive brand--retails over $100). I paid $2.00 for it !! The two purses are Guess and Sak---paid $5 for each. The pants are NWT men's brush briar pants made by Walls--$7. Other items not shown were old folding shovel, GAP stretch t-shirt, a 1960's quail decanter and two pair of Hollister jeans. Almost every item is up for auction on eBay. The Chanel shirt seems to be the most popular so far:)

"Goodwill Hunting" & Deals, Deals, Deals

As most women, I love to shop!!! However, at the same time, I get super excited about great deals. The above pictures are the items I recently purchased at the Goodwill (yes, I said Goodwill---every item is washed before wearing). I really could not believe what fabulous clothes I got--I was totally not expecting such great things. Some of the brands I snagged were L.L. Bean (men's light jacket), BCBG (black skirt), Banana Republic, Abercrombie & Fitch, Woolrich, Eddie Bauer, Carter's, Avalina (smocked dress) and some Target brands. Needless to say I HAD AN AWESOME TIME and will definitely be going back again. For all of my hometown peeps, you know where to find this Goodwill :)

The picture above if from my trip to Publix today. The total came $45 and change. After all of my coupons, the total I paid was $24.03. Not too shabby:)

The following pictures are our recent yard sale finds--ENJOY!!

Online Coupons

As I have mentioned in previous posts, great coupons are out there--you just have to do a little searching, clicking and/or clipping. Remember, coupons are not just limited to the Sunday paper. Online coupons are a great source for keeping extra dough in your pocket :) Manufacturers' coupons can be found on coupon sites, as well as the company's website. For instance, today I printed out two coupons from Hardee's. One was for $1.00 off their Berry Berry shake and malt. The other was for a FREE small fry and coke when you purchase their hand breaded chicken fingers. Go to http://www.hardees.com/promotions/ to print yours!!! Offers end 8/30/10
